GEMINI presents the lightest direct mount chainring on the market. The magic word is, once again, carbon. More precisely: forged carbon.
The developers at Gemini have been surrounded by bicycles since their earliest youth and are now applying the knowledge they have acquired in the manufacture of composite materials to perfection. More than three years of development and research were necessary to present the most technologically advanced chainring. The special feature of the new Rigel Carbon chainring is on the inside. A metal core made of a 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, which provides the structural basis of the chainring. The composite fibers are strategically aligned around each tooth, creating a level of strength that no other carbon fiber manufacturing process has been able to achieve.
The benefits are efficient power transmission and high wear resistance. At the same time, friction and noise are minimized and, of course, at a phenomenally low weight - all handmade in Barcelona.

GEMINI recommends lubricating the drivetrain with a dry lubricant to prevent particles from sticking to the chain, which could lead to premature wear of your Rigel chainring. A clean and well-lubricated drivetrain extends the service life of your chainring.

To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth.
