Client’s brief :
“I’m looking for a durable and gnarly gravel bike that can fit 45mm tires. I’m keeping my old Zipp wheelset and I want to pair it with a cool-looking frame. I have a tight budget, but I want great shifting — easy for climbing yet still fast on the downhills.”
When we talk about durability and tight budgets, aluminium often comes first. Durable, affordable, and gnarly? Standert brings all that to life with the Kettensäge — a tough and beautiful gravel frame.
We paired it with a top-notch ZIPP alloy cockpit and a carbon seatpost for extra stiffness. The build is driven by a SRAM Force AXS XPLR groupset with a 10–44 cassette and a Gemini Rigel 40T chainring, perfect for tackling steep climbs while still hitting high speeds on the descents.
The result: a stunning machine — fast, rugged, and incredibly versatile.
